Tottenham Hotspur continue to thrive under Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told The Guardian that he was told it is ‘difficult’ to have a good relationship with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy before joining the club in 2014.
Spurs are back in Premier League action this afternoon as they take on Crystal Palace, getting back to the bread-and-butter of league football after a dream Champions League outing.
Two weeks on from a 1-1 draw at Real Madrid, Spurs welcome the Spanish giants to Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night, and produced a stunning performance to win the game 3-1.

With 10 points from four games in the Champions League, Spurs are already through to the knockout stages of the competition, and are still harbouring hopes of a Premier League title challenge despite losing 1-0 to Manchester United last week.
Few Spurs fans could have seen this happening four years ago as Andre Villas-Boas edged towards the sack, but much of Tottenham’s rapid progression in recent years has been down to the influence of manager Pochettino.
The Argentine, 45, was prised away from Southampton in 2014, and whilst he has yet to lead Spurs to a trophy, he has launched two Premier League title bids, developed young players and is now turning Tottenham in a force in Europe.
Chairman Daniel Levy struck gold with Pochettino after previous failures such as Jacques Santini, Juande Ramos and Villas-Boas, often being criticised for his relationship with Spurs managers.

Pochettino has now told The Guardian that he was warned of how Levy is ‘difficult’ to have a good relationship with, but he feels Levy is a ‘great man’, speaking of the mutual trust which is helping Spurs move forward on and off the pitch.
“Before I arrived to Tottenham, everyone said to me: ‘It’s so difficult to have a very good relationship with Daniel,’” Pochettino says. “But I have discovered a great man. I feel that he trusts in me and I trust him. I don’t care what happens around myself because I know very well that I am so happy here and we have a great relationship.
“It’s not about winning or losing – it’s about trust. And when you achieve that at a club like Tottenham, with massive potential, you have to create something together. You have to create a project. I believe in what we are doing and I believe we can build a fantastic team that can achieve all that we dream.”
