Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has done a u-turn on his comments about the January transfer window recently.

Pochettino said earlier this month that January could be an opportunity to ‘fix things’ at Spurs.
However, at his latest press conference, Pochettino was far more reserved about his side’s plans for the next transfer window.
Indeed, the Spurs boss has suggested that big changes will not be made in the new year as he is not keen on making alterations to his squad midway through the season.
“I never was keen on January and I will not change now because it is a tough period or tough few games,” he said.
“Now I’m going to change my way to think or see things? For me the most important thing is to try and stay together. Of course after the windows some circumstances you can manage, a situation can arise in December or January and you need to take some decisions but we are not going to force anything because we believe the squad is a decent squad, now we need to be strong
“I am not talking about January with anyone. I told the players that for me, January is too far away. Because they know me, after five and a half years, that all the rumours and all the opinion, of course we need to respect all and we respect all, but what is going to happen sometimes is the complete opposite to what people are saying, or what appears on social media.”

Tottenham’s plans for January are now unclear, and it seems doubtful that a huge amount of additions will come in.
That has to be seen as a risk for Pochettino’s side, as flaws in their squad have been exposed so far this term.
Spurs sit in ninth place in the Premier League table as things stand, with their performances well short of the quality expected.
Tottenham are set to take on Watford at the weekend, when they will be hoping to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in their last outing.
