Tottenham Hotspur will once again finish this season without a trophy.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of yesterday’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United, and responded to reporters who criticised his team’s failure to win a trophy this season, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs are currently sitting comfortably inside the top four of the Premier League table, but have once again failed to win a trophy – something that surely must be becoming a real concerning for everyone involved with the club.

It is hard to criticise Pochettino and his team this season, because on the face of it, they have been excellent to watch, and were really unfortunate to be knocked out by Juventus in the Champions League last month.
The Argentine spoke to reporters after yesterday’s disappointing defeat, and explained why playing all of their home games at Wembley this season has caused great stress for his players and the club’s fans, as quoted by Football.London:

“We played the whole season at Wembley which you know is very difficult to play. That is stress that is not only for the team, but for the fans.”
Tottenham will be looking to finish the season strongly, and secure Champions League football once again.
If they manage to do that, all will not be lost, and they can continue to build and make further progress towards their ultimate goal of winning their first trophy since 2008.
