Tottenham Hotspur’s home form has been exemplary this season.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s comfortable 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town yesterday, and praised his side for breaking their Wembley hoodoo this season, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs currently sit in fourth position in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of second placed Liverpool, and they are arguably the country’s most in-form team, having not lost a game in all competitions since December 16th.

Perhaps Tottenham’s greatest achievement this season, however, has been their ability to turn Wembley into a fortress, after struggling when playing their European home matches at the England national team’s home over the past couple of years.

Pochettino’s men have the third best home record in the top flight, having lost just one Premier League game at Wembley all season long – a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea way back in August.

The Argentine drew attention to his team’s fine home form, when speaking to reporters after yesterday’s 2-0 win, as quoted by Football.London:

“I am so pleased. I think it’s a fantastic run at home. We can say Wembley is our home and that is so important for the team since the beginning of the season and last season when we used to play here in the Champions League or Europa League, it was a strange feeling, a difficult feeling. Now I think for our fans and us, it’s like our home. The team feel ok and good and when the result is positive, always everything is much better.”

Next up for Spurs is their crucial Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday night, and Pochettino’s men will head into the game full of confidence in their ability to progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
