Tottenham Hotspur are currently in second place in the Premier League table.
Mauricio Pochettino has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official Twitter channel, during a question and answer session, that he has implemented a rule which means he is not allowed in the changing room at Hotspur Way.
Pochettino likes Spurs’ players to have a space where they know that he will not be watching over them.
And he insists that it is a rule which he will never break, as he feels it is important for the squad.
“We have one rule that is very important, when the players are in the changing room, the coaching staff are not allowed to go,” Pochettino said. “For us, it is sacred. It is the only space on the training ground they can behave naturally, and not worry that the gaffer is coming.”
Pochettino has created a strong spirit at Tottenham since taking charge, and the effects have been clear.
Spurs’s team look to have a great bond on and off the pitch, and they are enjoying continued success under Pochettino.
Tottenham are currently Chelsea’s closest rivals in the race for the Premier League title – with seven points being the difference between the two London rivals.
Spurs have a chance to close that gap this weekend, when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
