Vincent Janssen has only scored one goal for Tottenham Hotspur so far.

Mauricio Pochettino has told the Hertfordshire Mercury that he has been imploring Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen to remain calm.
Janssen has endured a difficult start to life at Spurs, after arriving from AZ Alkmaar in the summer transfer window.
The Dutch striker’s only goal for the Lilywhites to date has come from the penalty spot in the EFL Cup against Gillingham.

However, Pochettino is unconcerned by the 22-year-old’s struggles in front of goal, and is desperate for Janssen not to lose confidence.
“Not frustration, he’s disappointed because the strikers like to score. It’s always incomplete – if you play well but you don’t score, something is missing for a striker,” Pochettino said.
“But he is happy. He wants to show he can score and maybe he puts a lot of pressure on himself ‘I need to score’ but we need to calm him, say ‘yes, good, don’t worry, work hard, keep going, I’m sure you will score’.”

Janssen has been given a run of starts in Tottenham’s team lately, with Harry Kane out injured.
The Dutch international has shown signs of promise through his link up play, but his lack of goals has caused some concern to supporters.
With Kane edging closer to fitness, Janssen’s place in Tottenham’s first team is under serious threat, but the powerful forward looks likely to start in Pochettino’s side’s match this weekend, which comes against Bournemouth on Saturday.
