The Tottenham Hotspur boss has worked wonders in charge of the club.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters after his side earned a valuable three points against Sean Dyche’s stubborn Burnley yesterday, and admitted that he didn’t know it was his 100th Premier League win in charge of the club until after the game, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs have been in fine form recently, losing just once in their last 11 appearances in all competitions, and they sit in third spot in the Premier League table, just five points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.

Pochettino has worked wonders during his time in charge at Tottenham, and he deserves special praise this season, considering the fact that he didn’t sign a single player during the summer transfer window.

Yesterday’s victory against the Clarets was Poch’s 100th Premier League win at Spurs, since taking over in May 2014, and the Argentine admitted to reporters that he wasn’t even aware of the feat until he was told during his press conference, as quoted by Football.London:

“Just before, a few minutes before I knew about that. Jesus said to me ‘before the game we didn’t want to tell you because it’s like a superstition’. And now I know. So yes I think I am not, we did not realise, no that in nearly five years we are together here at Tottenham. It is many games we played and many games we won, and I think it’s a fantastic achievement for us collectively. Jesus didn’t want to tell me before the game because it’s like a superstition. Because I don’t read too much, I don’t know too much and he knows nearly everything and he didn’t tell me. And now since Simon tells me he says ‘I didn’t want to tell you, sorry’. It was nice.”

Next up for Tottenham is their Carabao Cup quarter final clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night, and Pochettino’s side will be buzzing heading into the contest at the Emirates.

The Argentine will be hoping his side can continue their fine recent run of form, and gain revenge on their bitter rivals, after their comprehensive defeat against Arsenal earlier this month.
