Both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted as saying by ESPN that Jose Mourinho will eventually get things right at Manchester United.

Former Chelsea boss Mourinho was appointed the United manager in the summer amid hype and expectation.

The Red Devils were expected to launch a challenge for the Premier League title this season, but things are not going according to plan at the moment.

United are currently sixth in the league table with 18 points from 11 matches, eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

Tottenham manager Pochettino, though, believes that Mourinho will get it right eventually at Old Trafford.

“It’s clear that when you are with a great club, as I am with Tottenham, the pressure to win is always greater,” ESPN quotes Pochettino as saying. “And there are always voices of criticism when the results are not what everyone anticipates.

“Definitely, whenever one starts a new project, it requires time. In this case, even though Jose is one of the best coaches in the world, he needs more time to put his ideas in place and so that the team can function as he wants them to. It is too early to pass judgment regarding things that are happening with the teams just yet.”

Mourinho is one of the greatest football managers of all time, and United fans should keep faith.

True, United have underperformed so far this season and have not won as many matches as they should have, but they do have the quality to launch a challenge for the Premier League title.

Tottenham’s recent form has not been great either, but like United, the North London outfit are very much in the mix for the Premier League title.
