Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told The Independent that midfielder Moussa Sissoko has picked up a possible concussion.
Spurs picked up an impressive 2-1 away win over Middlesbrough this weekend, with South Korean winger Heung-min Son scoring twice inside the first 25 minutes before Ben Gibson pulled one back for Boro.

The result means that Tottenham remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season with four wins and two draws, and they now head into the midweek Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow in high spirits.
However, manager Mauricio Pochettino does have one issue to handle, as midfielder Moussa Sissoko looks set to miss both the trip to Russia and next weekend’s top of the table clash with Manchester City.

French midfielder Sissoko, 27, joined Spurs from Newcastle back on deadline day, and started the game against Middlesbrough out on the right hand side of midfield.
Sissoko was substituted on 70 minutes for Erik Lamela though, having gone down with a head injury moments earlier – and the nature of his injury could be a real concern for Tottenham.
Manager Pochettino told The Independent that Moussa is a doubt for midweek and next weekend’s game, as his head injury was in fact believed to be a concussion.

“Moussa is a doubt for Saturday,” said Pochettino. “He has a possible concussion,” added the Argentinian following Saturday’s game.
Concussions may not seem like major injuries at times, but the threat of repeated concussions eventually causing chronic traumatic encephalopathy has been highlighted in American football, and there have been concerns that football isn’t taking the long-term risks seriously enough after Anthony Martial was allowed to continue against Watford last week.
Spurs would be wise to let Sissoko sit out the next couple of games, especially given that Pochettino has great competition for places, with Sissoko given time to rest and heal before coming back.
