Southampton beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the Premier League three weeks ago.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters today ahead of his side’s clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, and singled out one game this season that really worried him, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, but their place inside the top four is in serious jeopardy, with just three points separating themselves and fifth placed Manchester United.
Pochettino’s side have taken just one point from their last four league outings, and they will be desperate to bounce back on Sunday with a victory against Liverpool.
Last time out, Tottenham lost to Southampton at St Mary’s, and Poch told reporters how that performance from his players in particular worried him, as quoted by Football.London:

“We are good enough, but the problem is that if we are not playing like a team… first half against Southampton was the perfect example. The first half the performance was good but in the second half we played 11 different games and what happened, happened. That’s what worried me a little bit and we need to recover.”
Should Tottenham lose at Anfield on Sunday, and Arsenal beat Newcastle United on Monday night, Poch’s side will be two points behind their bitter rivals.
Spurs quite simply must put their recent poor performances behind them as soon as possible, and they will have to be at their very best if they are to take maximum points from the league leaders on Sunday.
