Tottenham Hotspur beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 yesterday.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 3-2 win over Wolves at Molineux, and raved about the performance of Hugo Lloris, whilst sharing why he was disappointed with the overall display of his team, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs climbed back into the top four after yesterday’s win over Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, and they have now taken 24 points from their opening 11 league outings, their best ever start to a Premier League campaign.
Tottenham should have really been out of sight against Wolves, though, having taken a three goal lead after just 60 minutes, but complacency set in, and the Black Country outfit could have easily earned a point from the game in the end.
Pochettino addressed the media after his side’s narrow victory, and praised his goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, whilst admitting that he was not entirely happy with his team’s display, as quoted by Football.London:

“In the first half it was under control and in the second half they pushed a lot and we conceded a few actions where Hugo was fantastic. Then when we scored the third goal all our thoughts and those in the stadium was that it was 3-0 and it was all over. Then in that moment came the situation and we need to learn. We need to learn that to play seriously is to not make mistakes, don’t concede or give the opponents such a cheap or poor action that they can stay in the game. You know better than me that it is like this and that’s why I’m happy with the three points but disappointed because we are talking about experienced players not younger ones that can learn.”
Next up for Tottenham is a home game against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the competition.
