The Dutchman has really struggled since joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United today, and insisted that Vincent Janssen is not in his plans, despite Harry Kane picking up what looked like a serious injury, as quoted by Football.London.
The 24-year-old has been a total flop since joining Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, and with his contract due to expire in the summer of 2020, it seems like he will have a lot to do, if he is to salvage his career at the club.
Janssen scored for Tottenham’s under-23 side today, and after Kane went down with a suspected ankle problem at the end of today’s defeat to United, the Dutchman could have been forgiven for thinking that he had one more bite at the cherry in north London.
Poch addressed the media this evening, however, and stated that the Holland international does not feature in his plans, as quoted by Football.London:

“No, he’s not in my plans.”
Tottenham do of course have Fernando Llorente to fill in for Kane, but Poch’s comments do seem a little harsh on Janssen, especially considering the fact that the Spaniard has hardly impressed himself.
Unless something drastic happens, it seems as though the 24-year-old will be plying his trade elsewhere from Spurs sooner rather than later.
