Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and took time to praise Dele All, suggesting that the young midfielder is a clever player, and is maturing with every game that he plays, as quoted by Football.London.

The 22-year-old joined Spurs from MK Dons in January 2015, and he has gone on to establish himself as one of Pochettino’s most important players, chalking up an incredible 51 goals and 44 assists in 164 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Since Pochettino took over at Tottenham in 2014, he has managed to transform them into one of Europe’s best footballing sides, and Dele has played a key role in their rise to prominence.

The Argentine took time to praise the England international, when speaking to reporters yesterday, highlighting how much he is maturing as a footballer, as quoted by Football.London:

“Of course he’s more mature now. He’s more mature. He’s a kid, he’s still young, but he’s clever and he’s more mature. It’s normal this process.”

Next up for Dele and Tottenham is a trip to Everton on Sunday, and Pochettino’s men will have to be at their very best, if they are to leave Goodison Park with maximum points.

Spurs currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, just six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, and they will need to win all of their games over the Christmas period, if they are to keep pace with the Merseyside outfit.

Dele will obviously have a key role to play for his team over the next 10 days, and he will be hoping to add to his tally of five goals and three assists so far this term.
