Chelsea play host to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League tonight.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight, and suggested that he still doesn’t know when Dele Alli will return to full fitness, as quoted by Football.London.
The 22-year-old has been out of action since tearing his hamstring away at Fulham last month, and Pochettino will be desperate to have him back and available for selection as soon as possible.
Dele is a vital player for Tottenham, and his productivity in the final third could make all the difference for Pochettino’s side during the final stretch of the season.
It is still unclear when he will be back, however, and Pochettino told reporters yesterday how the attacking midfielder needs to be assessed on a daily basis, as quoted by Football.London:

“Still I don’t know, we don’t know. We need to assess day by day. He’s doing well but we cannot say if he’s going to be available for the weekend or for the next week or the games against Borussia Dortmund or Southampton. It’s sure for tomorrow it’s impossible and then we’ll see.”
Tottenham have some vitally important games coming up, with Chelsea away tonight followed by Arsenal at home on Saturday.
Spurs then travel to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday, and their season could very well be defined by how they fare during the next seven days.
And if seems as though Tottenham will have to continue to make do without Dele for what is a vitally important period of games.
