Tottenham beat Watford 4-0 on Saturday, with Kieran Trippier turning in an impressive display.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told The Mirror that Kieran Trippier’s international chances are ‘not his problem’ after his exceptional display against Watford on Saturday.
Spurs hammered Watford 4-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, with Dele Alli’s long-range opener catching the eye, before Son Heung-min stole the headlines with an impressive brace.
However, arguably the finest player on the park was defender Kieran Trippier, who was handed a start at right back in place of Kyle Walker.
Trippier, 26, was making just his third Premier League start of the season, and having put in a superb performance against Watford on New Year’s Day, he terrorised the Hornets again on Saturday.
The former Burnley man was rampant up and down the right hand side, putting consistent quality into the box, as seen with his pinpoint assist for Son’s second goal.
Trippier would most likely start for most Premier League teams, hence The Mirror’s report that Everton are keen to land him this summer, and there have been suggestions that he could join Walker in the England squad.

Now, manager Mauricio Pochettino has been asked about a possible England call-up for Trippier, but has told The Mirror that talk of both Tottenham right backs being called up by the Three Lions is not his problem, but something for Gareth Southgate to decide.
“That is not my problem, it is Gareth Southgate’s,” joked Pochettino, who has already helped Walker, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Dele Alli and Harry Kane become England international regulars.
England do have two top right backs in Walker and Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne, and whilst an injury to one of them should give Trippier a chance to shine, he may need to leave Spurs and play Premier League football week in and week out to really challenge Clyne and Walker in the near future.
