Tom Carroll left Tottenham Hotspur to join Swansea City earlier this month.
Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that Tottenham Hotspur are not expecting any more departures through the remainder of January.
Spurs have been fairly quiet in the transfer window to date, with Tom Carroll’s move to Swansea City being the only deal the North London side have completed so far.
Carroll has struggled for game-time this term, and Spurs were willing to allow the 24-year-old to leave to move to the Liberty Stadium.
Pochettino does not want any other player to leave Tottenham, though, as he aims to keep the bulk of his squad together.
“Only Tom Carroll. He moved to Swansea, but we don’t expect any other departures,” Pochettino said, when asked whether any more players could leave Tottenham this month.
Ben Davies has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane to join Crystal Palace in recent times (Daily Mail), but that transfer appears to have little chance of coming off now.
Tottenham are eager to ensure that they don’t unsettle their squad, by making too many changes in the coming weeks.
Spurs are currently in second place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
