Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on Colchester United in League Cup action later this evening.

Spurs have often rotated in the League Cup, and tonight’s game against Colchester City may give Pochettino and opportunity to test out some of his lesser used squad members.
However, Pochettino insists that just because he may make changes it doesn’t change the fact that Tottenham want to win.
“It surprises me this type of question because if I say something you twist my words,” Pochettino said.
“How seriously? Like all the games,
“We took seriously at Leicester and we took seriously the game we lost against Newcastle.
“We are going to take seriously, we need to avoid this type of question because it’s a question that (suggests) we don’t take seriously.
“This type of question we need to avoid because we show lack of respect to the squad and the players and I don’t want to be rude with you because I am nice person.

Tottenham could use the likes of Eric Dier, Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga this evening, as they look to progress to the next round.
The League Cup could actually present a good chance of silverware for Tottenham this season, and their game this evening against Colchester United has added importance now.
Spurs are in need of a boost, after a tough start to the season, and a heavy victory this evening may just boost confidence.
Tottenham have won just once in their last six games across all competitions, and will be desperate to avoid an upset later.
