Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has commented on Moussa Sissoko’s form.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he feels midfielder Moussa Sissoko is ‘doing very well’ right now.
Spurs travelled to Cyprus on Tuesday night to take on APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League, picking up a 3-0 win thanks to Harry Kane’s perfect hat-trick.
Now, it’s back to the Premier League for Tottenham, as they travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Pochettino’s options in midfield have been decimated by injuries, with both Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele out injured right now, and the pair will miss the trip to West Yorkshire this weekend.
That has led to a return to prominence for Moussa Sissoko, who has featured either in central midfield or behind Harry Kane as he finally looks to kickstart his Spurs career.
Sissoko, 28, endured a dismal season last term after his move from Newcastle United, but the Frenchman is currently enjoying his best spell as a Spurs player with some solid displays.
Now, manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he felt there were a number of reasons for Sissoko’s struggles last season, but he has fought for his place by showing a good attitude, and Pochettino is happy with his performances.

The Spurs boss was also asked whether he has been surprised by Sissoko, but added that he has great experience, and it’s important that he feels settled and valued at Tottenham, especially with so many games coming up and so many injuries to contend with.
“A lot of players struggle in the first season at different teams,” said Pochettino. “Remember he arrived at the end of the transfer market, the first of September, without pre-season at Newcastle. Then it’s so difficult to get your place, to get fits when the competition is playing and when you are playing and the team is close. Yes, he struggled a little bit last season like other players, but this season he has the possibility to compete for one place in the team. He’s doing very well. I am so happy with his attitude and his performance have been good.”
“Always you expect from all the players their best. He has experience competing in a different country and in England, in the national team, he’s an international player. It’s important for us, he feels good and settled in the team and helping the team. Because it’s so important. We came from a very busy period and we have a very busy period ahead too. We need everyone fit and available to play,” he added.
