Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that he could hear Tottenham Hotspur fans chanting his name yesterday.

Pochettino has come under pressure after Spurs’s poor start to the season, with frustrations rising around the club.

There has been much speculation about Pochettino’s future at Hotspur Way in recent times.

However, Spurs fans gave their backing to their manager last night, as they won 5-0 against Red Star Belgrade.

And Pochettino was very grateful for the backing he received from Tottenham fans.

“The fans are fantastic and I heard their support,” Pochettino said.

“I say thank you, the love is both ways. I feel that they love me and they need to feel that I love them too. Always most important is the team though, the players are the principal actors.”

Tottenham’s win over Red Star last night has certainly helped relieve some of the pressure building on Pochettino.

Spurs’s squad really looked to be playing for their manager last night, as they put in a committed display from minute one.

Tottenham will now be hoping that they can build on their performance yesterday, with Pochettino’s men next in action against Liverpool at the weekend.
