Manchester City beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in Nashville.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told ESPN that he ‘totally understands’ why Spurs fans were booing Kyle Walker in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Spurs’ tour of the United States ended this morning, with Pochettino’s men losing 3-0 to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in Nashville.

City were dominant throughout, and John Stones gave them a first half lead before Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz added goals in the second half to give City a deserved victory.
After beating Paris Saint-Germain 4-2 last weekend, Spurs have now lost their last two pre-season games to Roma and Manchester City, but will hope for better fortunes when they kick off their Premier League campaign against Newcastle United in two weeks.
An interesting sub-plot from the defeat to City surrounded Kyle Walker, with the defender taking on Tottenham for the first time since leaving the club for City earlier this summer.
The 27-year-old England international made almost 250 appearances for Spurs following a 2009 move from Sheffield United, become a particularly important player under Pochettino’s guidance.
However, Walker decided to move on earlier this month, joining Premier League rivals City in a big-money deal, with Spurs fans clearly unhappy with the right back based on his first display against the club.

Spurs supporters booed and jeered Walker throughout this morning’s encounter, and Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told ESPN that he does understand why Spurs fans are disappointed with Walker’s departure and wanted to make that known, but doesn’t feel that the treatment was personal and isn’t a big issue, claiming Spurs fans still love Walker.
“I totally understand the fans showed they’re disappointed with the situation,” said Pochettino. “But I think Tottenham fans love him, he spent nine years at the club. It’s a spontaneous feeling they showed but it’s not personal, it’s not a big issue. It’s only to show him they’re disappointed, and to show him they’re disappointed,” he added.
