Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he was happy with the displays of both Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker-Peters against AFC Wimbledon.
Spurs were only in action against West Ham United on Thursday night, but were back at Wembley Stadium again on Sunday afternoon in order to kick off their FA Cup campaign.
Their third round tie against AFC Wimbledon was expected to be a relatively simple affair, and so it proved as Spurs claimed a 3-0 victory at Wembley.

Two close-range Harry Kane finishes put Tottenham 2-0 up in the second half, before Jan Vertonghen’s long-range effort made it 3-0 to Pochettino’s side.
Whilst North London rivals Arsenal crashed out against Nottingham Forest this afternoon, Spurs avoided a disaster by seeing off AFC Wimbledon, even with some fringe players in the side.
Young defender Juan Foyth was handed a start, whilst right back Kyle Walker-Peters featured as a left wing back for Spurs as the pair look to gain experience.
After the final whistle, head coach Pochettino told Football.London that he felt it was important for both players to play, as it will ultimately help their development in the long-term.
Pochettino added that he was happy with both players after their performances, and the duo will now be looking to feature in the next round of the competition having tasted victory on Sunday.
“They are in the process to learn and improve,” said Pochettino. “Always this type of game will make them better. It’s an experience and yes I was happy with their performance,” he added.
