Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Mauricio Pochettino has signed a one-year contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain.
What’s the story?
Former Tottenham head coach Pochettino will remain in charge of PSG until 2023.
The French giants have announced on their official website tonight that Pochettino and his staff are now under contract until the summer of 2023.
According to BBC Sport, the Argentine originally signed a deal with the Ligue 1 outfit until 2022 following his appointment in January 2021.
What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, some Tottenham fans have noticed something coincidental about Pochettino’s contract and Nuno’s deal.
As announced on Tottenham’s official website last month, Nuno was appointed the North London club’s head coach on a two-year deal.
This means that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss is under contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2023.

That’s when Pochettino’s deal at PSG runs out.
Could the Argentine then be back at Tottenham?
Pochettino was in charge of Spurs from the summer of 2014 until November 2019 when he was sacked.
The Argentine made Tottenham regulars in the Premier League top four and also took them to the Champions League final in 2019.
BBC Sport reported in May that Spurs had made contact with Pochettino about a return to the club.
