Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 4-1 away in at Bournemouth today, and provided an update on Dele Alli, after the England international was taken off late in the game at the Vitality Stadium, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs remained in the race for second with all three points against the Cherries today, and currently sit in third position in the Premier League table, just four adrift of Manchester United.

Dele played a key role in his side’s win today, scoring Tottenham’s equaliser, before setting up Heung-min Son to score the their vitally important second goal.

The 21-year-old was substituted in the 86th minute, though, in what seemed to be a precautionary measure from Pochettino.

The Argentine addressed the media after the game, and seemingly confirmed just that, by suggesting that Dele’s slight knock should not be a big issue, as quoted by Football.London:

“I don’t believe it will be a big issue. We will have to assess it tomorrow, the same with Harry.”

Harry Kane’s injury seemed to be far worse, after he rolled his ankle before being taken off in the 34th minute of the contest against Eddie Howe’s men.

Tottenham fans will be hoping to have both players back fit as soon as possible, with the fight for second place in the league, and the chance of winning the FA Cup still up for grabs.
