Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that Danny Rose’s recovery from injury is going very well.

Rose has been out since January with a knee injury, which he picked up against Sunderland.

The England international has seen a specialist to try and overcome his knee problem.

And Pochettino claims that the left-back is progressing well in his recovery, with the 26-year-old likely to play again this season.

“It’s very positive, he’s continuing his recovery. He’s in a good way,” Pochettino said. “Yes, of course [he will play again this season]. I hope that, yes.”

Rose’s absence has been a blow for Spurs, but Ben Davies has coped relatively well in his absence.

Davies was in excellent form during Tottenham’s most recent games against Burnley, which Pochettino’s side won 2-0.

It is anticipated that Rose could return before the end of the month, which would make him available to play against Arsenal in the North London derby on 30th April (London Evening Standard).

Even without Rose, Tottenham’s good form has continued, with the Lilywhites currently sitting in second place in the Premier League table.
