Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose could miss out on playing in England’s friendly against Germany in March.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Danny Rose could be out for over a month at his latest press conference, which was broadcast by the Press Bureau on Youtube.
Rose injured his knee against Sunderland earlier this month, and the left-back has not played since.
Spurs put out a vague announcement yesterday, suggesting that Rose could be out for a ‘number of weeks’.
And when pushed over whether that meant Rose would now be out of England’s match against Germany on 22nd March.
Pochettino said: “I hope he will be good, but I cannot say nothing more. We don’t know.”
Rose’s lengthy absence from Spurs’ first-team is terrible news for Pochettino’s side, as he is so important.
Rose provides Spurs with a great amount of attacking threat down, and he has also become much more solid defensively in recent times.
With Rose sidelined Ben Davies has come into Tottenham’s team, but he has not looked as impressive as the England international.
Davies is expected to start for Spurs later this evening, when they take on Gent in the Europa League.
