Tottenham Hotspur right-back had to be taken off by Mauricio Pochettino in last night’s match.

Trippier was out for weeks with a groin injury, but returned to Tottenham’s starting line-up last night.
The right-back put in a good display against Southampton, as Spurs picked up a 3-1 victory.
However, Trippier had to play replaced in the closing stages, as his groin was playing up again.
And Pochettino believes that Trippier now needs to get used to playing in pain.
He said: “I think it’s the same problem, the same problem that started in the World Cup.
“If you remember the semi-final against Croatia, when he left the pitch. Then I think to play after three days against Belgium, I think maybe it affected a little bit. Now he’s suffering in that situation.
“It will be a long period for him suffering this type of problem. When I was in Argentina as a 19-year-old I suffered and it is an area that is difficult to sort out. But I don’t believe it’s a big thing. It’s only he needs to start to accept that situation and live with sometimes some pain and play.”

Trippier’s return to Tottenham’s starting line-up is a boost to Pochettino’s side, as they have missed him in his absence.
Although Trippier may not have enjoyed his best season to date, he is their best option at right-back.
Tottenham’s win over Southampton last night has pushed them back up to third in the Premier League table.
