Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has been out with injury since January.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he will have a close eye on Danny Rose in Tottenham Hotspur’s next training session.
Rose has been out since January with a knee injury, which he picked up in a match against Sunderland.
The left-back has recently returned to light training, though, and is set to step up his recovery soon.
Rose will be back in full training next week, and Pochettino claims that he will keep a close eye on the defender’s condition, before deciding whether to play him against Manchester United.

“We will see, after three months and one week that he is not playing, we need to see, we need to assess,” Pochettino said.
“It’s not easy for every player to arrive to play, need to assess every day.
“We hope that in the next session he can stay with the group training and then decide if he is in condition to play.
“The most important thing now is that he feels good, recovers his fitness and his knee and then important he can be involved again with the team.”

Rose is likely to come straight back in to Tottenham’s line-up, when he does return to full fitness.
Ben Davies has done a solid job as cover, but lacks the same attacking ability of Rose.
If Rose does return against United, he could still have a big part to play as Spurs aim to catch Chelsea.
Tottenham are currently four points behind Antonio Conte’s men, with their next match coming against West Ham United tomorrow evening.
