Tottenham Hotspur ran out 5-0 winners over Gillingham in the EFL Cup last night.

Mauricio Pochettino has told BT Sport that he thought Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and Anton Walkes were outstanding during Tottenham Hotspur’s EFL Cup triumph last night.
Carter-Vickers and Winks were both handed their full debuts for Spurs against Gillingham, while Walkes came off the bench.
The youngsters did not look overawed by the occasion, as they helped Tottenham pick up a 5-0 victory in the tie.

And Pochettino said: “I am very happy because if you see the confidence of Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks, Anton Walkes, they were fantastic.
“They come through the academy but they have the quality to impress us and play for the first team.
“It’s important for Tottenham and it was fantastic to give the opportunity to play and fantastic experience for them.”
Tottenham dominated against their lower league opponents from start to finish last night, as they carved out chance after chance.

Christian Eriksen netted a brace, while Vincent Janssen, Erik Lamela and Josh Onomah also got on the scoresheet.
In truth, Spurs’ margin of victory could have been even greater, but they still put in an impressive display.
Tottenham will now face Liverpool at Anfield in round four of the EFL Cup, which should be a much sterner test for their young players.
