Toby Alderweireld is one of the best players in the current Tottenham Hotspur team.

Alderweireld has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Spurs had to pay Atletico a transfer fee of £11.4 million in order to secure the services of the Belgium international defender, according to The Guardian.

The 28-year-old centre-back’s current contract with the North London outfit runs until June 2020, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The former Ajax star recently told talkSPORT that he is focused on his football, and that his father and his agent are sorting out his contract with Spurs.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has praised Alderweireld for his professional attitude and for his comments in public about his future.

“It is so important because there are a lot of rumours in the last few months about him,” Pochettino told Football.London about Alderweireld when asked about the defender’s recent comments.
“It is good when he goes to the media and explains how he felt and how the team is. Not too much to say because he said I think yesterday he is happy, and very relaxed and focused on football.
“That is the most important thing. They need to be focused on football, try to help the team and try to win games.”
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with seven points from four matches, just three points behind leaders Manchester United.
