Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted as saying by The Barney & Whetstone Press that Southampton forward Manolo Gabbiadini is a very good player.

Gabbiadini joined Premier League side Southampton from Italian outfit Napoli in the January transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, the Saints had to pay the Serie A club a transfer fee of £14 million in order to secure the services of the Italy international.

The 25-year-old forward has ben a massive hit at St. Mary’s Stadium, scoring four goals and creating four chances in three Premier League appearances so far.

Gabbiadini is likely to lead the line for Southampton against Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the Premier League encounter, Spurs manager Pochettino has revealed his admiration of the Italian forward.

“Southampton have found a very good player,” Pochettino is quoted as saying about Gabbiadini by The Barney & Whetstone Press. “He’s a player we need to be focused on.”

Should Tottenham Hotspur make summer move?

Pochettino seems to rate Gabbiadini highly, and perhaps he should make a move for the Southampton forward in the summer transfer window.

The Italy forward has clearly adapted to the style of football in the Premier League, and he would be a good addition to the Spurs squad.

Harry Kane is the first-choice striker at Tottenham, and that is not going to change next season. The signing of Gabbiadini is only going to make the North London outfit better and stronger.
