The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder pledged his long-term future to the club earlier this week.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s trip to Wolves tomorrow, and responded when asked whether it took a lot to convince Dele Alli to sign a new long-term deal with the club, as quoted by Football.London.
The 22-year-old joined Spurs from MK Dons in January 2015, for just £5 million, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the Premier League’s best players, chalking up 48 goals and 41 assists in 153 games for the club.
Dele highlighted his commitment to Tottenham by signing a new deal that runs until 2024 earlier this week, and Spurs fans must have been delighted when they heard the news.
Some believed that the former MK Dons man would leave Tottenham in search of trophies, and Pochettino responded when asked by reporters whether it was hard to convince the midfielder to pledge his long-term future to the north London club, as quoted by Football.London:

“That is a question for Daniel, not me.”
He then went on to explain how Dele signing a new deal is a very good thing for the Englishman:
“I think it is important for him to improve his salary. Important for the club to reward him but contract or not he was still with a big, long contract. I think for Dele it is a very good thing.”
