The Tottenham Hotspur ace appeared to pick up a groin injury last night.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media last night, after his side’s progression through to the Champions League semi-final, and responded when asked to elaborate on the severity of Moussa Sissoko’s injury, as quoted by Football.London.
The Frenchman, 29, has been a vitally important player for Spurs this season, and the prospect of losing him for a sustained period of time will be a real worry for the north London outfit.
Sissoko seemed to injure his groin last night against Manchester City, and he was replaced by Fernando Llorente in the 41st minute of the game.
Pochettino spoke to reporters, and responded when asked whether the France international’s injury was a serious one, as quoted by Football.London:

“I don’t know we need to check tomorrow. Maybe his groin but we will see.”
Tottenham have some vitally important games coming up, with a another trip to the Etihad to take on Manchester City scheduled for Saturday afternoon, before they face Ajax for the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final clash at the end of this month.
And Pochettino, as well as Spurs fans and players, will be hoping that Sissoko returns to action sooner rather than later.
It is incredible to think that he is now considered to be one of Tottenham’s most important players, and the north London outfit will really miss the Frenchman.
