Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino must reconsider his opinion on Juan Foyth, after his performance against West Ham United last night.

Foyth was selected to start in the heart of Spurs’ defence against West Ham, during their 3-1 win over Manuel Pellegrini’s side at the London Stadium.

The London Evening Standard claim that Pochettino has been disappointed by Foyth’s lack of development, and he could allow the youngster to leave in January.

But Foyth proved beyond any doubt that he has a future at Tottenham yesterday.

The Argentine centre-back was the stand out player on the pitch, as Spurs picked up an impressive win in the League Cup.

Foyth produced a number of crunching sliding tackles and showed great calmness in possession, which suggests he has all the capabilities required to develop into a star of the future.

And Pochettino must reverse his decision on Foyth now and ensure that he keeps him at Tottenham for the foreseeable future.
