The Tottenham Hotspur boss is a big fan of his back-up goalkeeper.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 2-0 win over Watford in the Premier League last night, and made a bold statement about the quality of back-up goalkeeper Michel Vorm, as quoted by Football.London.
The Dutchman has barely featured for Spurs this season, making just 11 appearances all season long, with only one of those coming in the Premier League.

Vorm, 34, joined the Lilywhites from Swansea City in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £5 million, but he has mostly been used as Hugo Lloris’ deputy.
Pochettino is obviously a big fan of his number two stopper, however.
The Argentine spoke to reporters after last night’s win over Watford, and made the quite frankly bizarre claim that Vorm could play for any team in the Premier League, as quoted by Football.London:

“We demand a lot from the keeper and we are so happy with all, I think we have great keepers. Hugo is one of the best, Michel can play in any team in the Premier League and Paulo is a potential great keeper.”
With just three Premier League games remaining for the north London outfit this season, and Champions League football still not mathematically secured, it is highly unlikely that Vorm will play again this term.
The Dutchman is out of contract with Tottenham this summer, but following Poch’s words last night, it would be no surprise to see the goalkeeper offered a new deal with the club.
