Tottenham Hotspur could have signed Ross Barkley in January, but decided against making the transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur must regret not moving for Ross Barkley in January now, when they had their chance.
Spurs were fully expected to rival Chelsea for the midfielder when he was made available by Everton, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side decided against rivalling their London neighbours.
However, Tottenham failed to make a single addition in pre-season, and Barkley has gone on to thrive at Chelsea.
Since Maurizio Sarri arrived, Barkley has started to remind everyone of how big a talent he is again.
The 24-year-old has scored in his last three Chelsea appearances, and is now starting to force his way into Sarri’s starting line-up.

Barkley has broken forward with power and poise, and he would have unquestionably improved Tottenham’s team, if he was playing at his current level.
With Spurs still looking for central midfielders there must be regret that they did not push for Barkley.
And Pochettino must realised that he made an error by snubbing Barkley months ago now.
