Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says he is the man to take Tottenham forward.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says he hopes he is the man to take the club forward.
Pochettino was asked directly at his Thursday press conference whether he is the man to the team back on track.
The Times reported: “Pochettino said he remained convinced that he was the man to help Spurs take the next step. “I believe yes and I hope yes. If not, you are going to see quickly,” he laughed.”
Pochettino’s joke at the end is typical of the cryptic messages he has been giving off about his future all year.
It has led to uneasiness from fans and there has been speculation in national newspapers this week (via The Sun) about potential replacements for the Argentine.
Spurs lost against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup this week, highlighting the club’s inconsistent form.
The team have won just two games in all competitions all season.
It is unclear whether Pochettino’s joke was aimed at suggesting he could walk away, or be fired, if the season does not go well. Either way, its probably not helpful.
