Journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that Pochettino is “hopeful” that Mount will “resolve his issues” and stay at Chelsea.

The former Tottenham head coach is reportedly set to become the new Chelsea manager.

The London Evening Standard have reported that Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool all want to sign Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The England international midfielder is in talks with the Blues over a new deal, but the two parties cannot come to an agreement yet.

Summer transfer saga

In our view, the future of Mason Mount will not be resolved anytime soon.

Now, Chelsea will try their best to get a deal done with Mount, but the chance to play for Liverpool, Newcastle or Arsenal could be too tempting for the 24-year-old, described as “tenacious” by former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino in The Times in March 2023.

If the Blues do have to sell Mount, then they will surely want to make a lot of money on him.

And that would mean a bidding war between Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool, something that Chelsea would like.

Mount has made 20 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea this season.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals and given two assists in those games.

The England international made five starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Blues this campaign.

Mount gave one assist in those games.
