Mauricio Pochettino comments on whether Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham Hotspur forever.

Harry Kane has been in terrific form this season, and has taken his goal tally to 26 in all competitions for Spurs so far.

He has been phenomenal in 2017, and broke Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of scoring highest number of goals in a calendar year.

Kane is a product of Spurs’ youth academy, and the England international (he has 23 caps under his belt) could become a legendary figure at the club.

However, it remains to be seen how long Spurs can keep hold of him, especially with Real Madrid reportedly showing interest in him.

Kane is already the club’s highest paid player, and could become the highest paid England player as well.

Mauricio Pochettino, the Spurs manager, has hailed him as a “special player”, and he believes that Kane could be a one-man club like AS Roma legend Francesco Totti.

At the same time, Pochettino adds that he cannot force anyone to stay, and that is why the club need to work hard to win trophies and create the winning mentality in the side.

Pochettino rightly says that it is hard to predict the future, but at this moment, Kane’s future lies at Spurs.

“I think Harry is special, so special, because he loves Tottenham and he feels Tottenham,” said Pochettino, as quoted by Football London.

“But we need to be careful and be clever how we manage him and then the player needs to choose to stay here, you cannot force everyone to stay here, I think our job is to try to work together and to try to achieve all that we want, the club, everything that we will for the club.

“I told him, he seems like Totti in Italy, that is only a few players, so special players, can spend all their career in one club and I think Harry is this type of player that can, can stay in a club like Tottenham because he loves Tottenham.

“But in football you cannot be sure, for nothing the truth is today, the present it is tomorrow, after tomorrow you need to doubt what is going to happen.”
