Foyth is in line to win his first Argentina cap after starring for Spurs recently.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that up-and-coming defender Juan Foyth is “so clever” after he was called up to Argentina’s national side.
The 20-year-old defender has joined teammates Erik Lamela and Paulo Gazzaniga in the side, after making his Premier League debut this month in the 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He was handed his debut after starring in the Carabao Cup win over West Ham United, but conceded two penalties to Wolves as Spurs held on to grab a narrow three points.
However, Foyth redeemed himself hugely by scoring the only goal of the game against Crystal Palace last time out in just his second Premier League outing. Pochettino commented on the defender ahead of Argentina’s November fixtures.
“It’s a fantastic moment for him,” Pochettino said. “From the beginning we said you need to forget that situation (at Wolves) now because that can happen because you are a football player.
“With experience he’s going to improve and not make mistakes, or less mistakes. It was his debut, his first game in the Premier League and that situation is difficult to accept, but he’s so clever.
“He moved on the day after and of course we all helped for him to forget and compete freely. The confidence and the trust is massive from the club and no doubt that his potential and his quality will be very helpful the for the team.”

Foyth has plenty of competition at centre-back with Pochettino preferring to play with two central defenders rather than three. Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez sit ahead of him in the pecking order.
Argentina and Foyth face Mexico twice throughout the upcoming international break, with the former Estudiantes defender looking to earn his first international cap after failing to make an appearance in the previous round of fixtures despite a call-up.
