Arsenal play host to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup tonight.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup tonight, and delivered a very clear message to the club’s fans, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs lost 4-2 to Arsenal the last time the two sides met, and the behaviour of their fans was called into question.
The Lilywhites are well known for their excellent support both home and away, but as is often the case, a select few spoil it for the majority of proper fans.
Pochettino addressed the media yesterday ahead of tonight’s vital clash with the Gunners, and delivered a word of warning for the travelling Tottenham supporters, as quoted by Football.London:
“For me the most important is to behave properly. Respect is the most important. Of course you can celebrate and do everything with limits. If you not cross the limit it is so important to show your happiness, but always with limit. If you cross the limit you will be in a situation when you will start to be disrespectful to the opponent.”
Tottenham have been on a fine run of form recently, and they will fancy their chances of beating Arsenal on their bitter rival’s home patch tonight.
The spotlight will be on Pochettino’s men, as well as the Spurs fans, and everyone will be hoping that all the talk after the game is about the football, rather than trouble in and out of the ground.
