Christian Eriksen lived up to his nickname at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino has revealed to Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that Christian Eriksen’s nickname at the club is ‘Golazo’.
The Denmark playmaker proved what an apt moniker that is by scoring a 30-yard stunner in Sunday’s 4-2 friendly win over Paris Saint-Germain in Orlando.

It was Tottenham’s first of the match, with Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane also on the scoresheet this morning.
And the Argentine coach has admitted that it was a “great goal” by the 25-year-old.
“Yes, ‘Golazo’, that’s what we call him,” Pochettino told Tottenham’s official website.
“It was a great goal. Christian is doing well, both he and Ben Davies played 90 minutes, they are great professionals and it’s important to keep that level and we’ll help them to improve more.”
On an individual level, Eriksen had his best season for Tottenham last season by scoring eight and setting up 15 in the Premier League.
And he will be hoping for more of the same next term as Spurs look to improve on their second-placed finish last time around.
The Lilywhites kick off the new campaign on August 13 with a trip to newly-promoted Newcastle United.
