Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he was pleased with the performance of Danny Rose against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Rose featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Palace at the Wembley Stadium in London.

The England international left-back started the match and played until the second minute of injury time, as Spurs won 1-0.

The 27-year-old left-back played well against the Eagles and made some good runs down the left flank.

Rose has only just returned to full fitness from injury, and it is understandable that it will take him a while to get back to his best.

Tottenham manager Pochettino has given his verdict on the performance of Rose and told Football.London: “Always it’s tough for the players when you are out for 10 months, it’s tough to compete again.

“I am happy with his performance. Of course he’s not in his best, but you can see it was good. A little bit step by step, he needs to find his best form and help the team.”

Rose is one of the best left-backs in the world, and his performance against Palace was encouraging.

Ben Davies has done well in the absence of the England international for Tottenham, but one should not be surprised if Rose regains his place in the Spurs starting lineup as the season progresses.
