Tottenham Hotspur have a bundle of games to play in quick succession later this month.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told ESPN that it is ‘completely unfair’ on his side that they have so many fixtures pilled up.

Spurs are still competing in four competitions this season, which means that they are in action regularly.

Tottenham may even have to play four games in the space of eight days later on this month.

And Pochettino believes that his side are at a disadvantage because of their scheduling issues.

He said: “Look what’s going to happen in the Carabao Cup. We’re going to play on Monday at Wembley against Manchester City [on Oct. 29] and then we must play on Wednesday or Thursday [against West Ham in the cup].

“Then we must play Saturday, and Tuesday again in the Champions League. That is completely unfair for a team that wants to win some titles. It’s a massive challenge with different circumstances, where you can’t guess what’s going to happen in a few weeks.”

Tottenham are desperate to deliver silverware for the first time since Pochettino took charge, to end that criticism.

However, their hopes of winning the Premier League already look in doubt, and progressing in the Champions League now looks like a challenge after an opening game defeat to Inter Milan.

It may be that Spurs’ best chance of winning a trophy comes in either the FA Cup or the League Cup, but Pochettino may now be forced to rotate in those competitions.

Spurs are next in action later this evening when they take on Barcelona, and a full strength line-up will certainly be put out.
