Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has commented on the progress of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou – as the young Frenchman continues to settle in to his new surroundings.
The French under-21 international joined the club for a fee reported by the Guardian to be in the region of £9.4 million on transfer deadline day.
The deal, which saw Clinton N’Jie head the other way to Marseille, was delayed on numerous occasions as Daniel Levy renegotiated the deal with a changing hierarchy at the French club.
Eventually it was 40 days after the first time it was reported that N’Koudou was set to join Spurs that a deal actually got done.
During that time his training was severely disrupted, meaning he is not quite at the level that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino expects from his players.

But, as he is quoted by the Hampstead Highgate Express, Pochettino believes N’Koudou can still have a big impact from the bench:
“He’s not 100 per cent at the level that we want him.
“He’s very young and he needs to work a lot to arrive at his best, but it’s true that in the way we want to use him now, we can use him. He’s perfect to be on the bench and make an impact like he did in Moscow.”
The youngster impressed during an appearance against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League this week and certainly looks like he carries a threat for Pochettino’s side.
It looks like he is some way off of featuring from the start in the Premier League. But Pochettino is clearly happy with his new signing so far.
