Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose did not feature against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby at the weekend.
Rose was left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad for the Premier League game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The left-back made his comeback from a long-term injury against Real Madrid in the Champions League last month.
The 27-year-old defender also featured for England against Germany and Brazil during the recent international break.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has suggested that he left Rose out of the squad against Arsenal for fitness reasons.
“We analysed the player and we said to the player that we believed it was better to play another player, and [Rose] needs to wait,” Pochettino told Sky Sports.
“It’s not the same if you are training and trying to get fit,” added the Spurs boss. “One thing is you can play and another thing is to be fully fit to play and to cope with 90 minutes.”
According to The Sun, Tottenham defender Rose is not happy at being left out of the North London derby against Arsenal.
The British tabloid has also claimed that Manchester United are keen on signing the former Leeds United prospect.
Spurs are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment, while United are currently second in the standings.
