Tottenham Hotspur are due to take on Huddersfield Town in their next Premier League match.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that Christian Eriksen is likely to be available for selection against Huddersfield Town.

Spurs had to cope without Eriksen in their Champions League tie against APOEL in midweek, and they did miss his creativity.

Spurs won 3-0 in Cyprus, but they certainly weren’t at their best in the tie – and relied on Harry Kane’s ruthless finishing to pick up the three points.

But Spurs will be boosted for tomorrow’s Premier League match at the John Smith’s Stadium, after Eriksen came through training earlier today.

“He showed us good energy,” Pochettino said. “Maybe he’s not 100 per cent today but we hope tomorrow he will feel good and will be available for us to select if we want.

“I don’t believe it will be a big issue for the next game.

“From day one when we arrived here at Tottenham he was a very consistent player for us, a very important player, very consistent in his performance.

“I am so happy after three seasons with him.”

Eriksen has been in sparkling form so far this season, with his play making ability coming to the fore.

The Dane has already claimed two goals and three assists in his opening six Premier League appearances.

Tottenham are yet to lose an away match so far this season, and head into their contest with Huddersfield as the heavy favourites to pick up the three points.

If Spurs do beat Huddersfield they will leapfrog Chelsea and move into third place in the Premier League table.
