Tottenham Hotspur picked up their first three points of the season in the Champions League last night.
Mauricio Pochettino has told the Daily Mail that he views every member of his Tottenham Hotspur squad as a key player.
Pochettino made a number of changes to Tottenham’s team for their Champions League match against CSKA Moscow, but the Lilywhites were still able to pick up a 1-0 victory.
The likes of Ben Davies, Kieran Trippier and Erik Lamela were recalled to the starting line-up – and played their part in an impressive Spurs display.
And Pochettino believes that people are now starting to realise that everyone in his squad will be important this term.
“Now you can see all the players are key,” Pochettino said.
“That is important to learn about the whole season because you never know when players can become key for the team.
“Maybe I am boring you about that, it is true some players play more than others, but always it is important you need all the players are ready to compete.”
Spurs scored their goal against CSKA Moscow through Heung-Min Son, who has enjoyed a resurgence this season.
Son now has five goals in as many games this term, and looks to have established himself as one of Tottenham’s most pivotal attackers.
Spurs are now up to second in their Champions League group, despite losing to Monaco in their first match in the European competition.
Tottenham’s next contest comes against Manchester City at the weekend, and a win would help them close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s top of the table side.
