Tottenham Hotspur striker is considered to be one of the brightest talents on their books currently.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to block Troy Parrott from representing Ireland at the European under-19 Championships is the clearest sign yet that he is being considered for the first-team.
Pochettino wants to keep Parrott around at Tottenham over pre-season, to assess his quality first-hand, as reported by the Irish Independent.
The 17-year-old is considered to be the brightest prospect at Tottenham, after enjoying a wonderful season last year.
Parrott scored frequently for Tottenham’s development sides, and there are high hopes for his future.
Parrott is yet to make his Spurs debut, but Pochettino has given the most obvious hint yet that he is a fan of the striker by keeping him around.
Pochettino could easily have let Parrott go to represent Ireland at the international tournament, as it would have been good for his development.

However, by blocking that move, Pochettino has suggested that Parrott will benefit more from staying at Tottenham.
That surely suggests that Parrott will get game time for Spurs’s first team in their friendlies.
If the clinical finisher can impress then he may just have a chance of breaking into Tottenham’s squad too.
Spurs have not signed a back-up striker for Harry Kane, despite Fernando Llorente’s departure, which means that there is a potential opening for Parrott. It is now up to him to take it.
