Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 7-2 by Bayern Munich last night.

Spurs were beaten 7-2 by Bayern Munich yesterday, and they looked very vulnerable throughout the contest.
Pochettino set his Tottenham side up to attack Bayern, but they were often overloaded down the flanks.
Spurs set up in a diamond formation and often kept two men forward for the counter, but they didn’t have the numbers back to deal with Bayern.
Niko Kovac’s side were ruthless in front of goal, and put Spurs to the sword.
But Lineker felt that Pochettino had made an error with his set-up during the game.
“It was one on one the whole time. People often laud Pochettino for his tactics but tonight’s he’s made an mistake,” Lineker said.
Former Spurs striker Crouch also agreed with Lineker, as he felt Tottenham were far too attacking.

“I think when it was four he was going for it,” he added. “At one stage they had Son, Kane, Lamela and Eriksen all on the pitch at the same time. That’s going to be terrible for confidence.”
Spurs have now failed to win either of their first two Champions League matches and last night’s defeat was an utter humiliation.
Tottenham are next in action against Brighton & Hove Albion when they will be under huge pressure to bounce back.
