The Tottenham Hotspur boss wants to stay at the club for a long time, but would manage Argentina one day.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been commenting about his future at White Hart Lane. He spoke to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser today, where he discussed his vision to remain at Spurs for a long time.
The Argentine stated:
“I would love to be here as long as possible, I like to work long-term thinking.
“For me, this is the most popular club in London,”
Tottenham fans will be very pleased to hear such words from their manager. He has become a firm favourite with the fans after the improvements he has made to the side, turning them into title challengers since arriving from Southampton in 2014.
He has seen his name linked with some big names whilst at Spurs. Barcelona are one team who are said to be keen on his services, as is his national team of Argentina.

Both are currently on the look out for new managers. But Pochettino confirmed once again to Cadena Ser that he could not work for Barcelona given his extensive history with city rivals Espanyol. He then went on to admit he would love to one day manage his country, but no contact has been made about the current Albiceleste vacancy:
“The AFA (Argentine Football Association) has never contacted me. (But) every coach has a dream to train their national team.”
Tottenham fans will be hoping that Pochettino’s desire to manage his nation is not something he envisages doing until the advent of his managerial career.
If he stays at the club until then, not many fans would be disappointed.
